What's the best diet for diabetes?
Only olive oil and wine had a comparable value, but both remained quite exclusive outside the warmer grape- and olive-growing regions. Calling someone too skinny can be just as painful as calling someone fat. Vegetables, eggs or fish were also often pickled in tightly packed jars, containing brine and acidic liquids lemon juice , verjuice or vinegar. Please Select A lot A little Almost none. Thanks for the kind words and for visiting the site — let me know your Twitter handle so I can return the favor! I purchased some Nutrisystem shakes to use between meals also. I had a lot more weight to lose then; now when I sign up, I usually use it for a month, maybe two at the most.
No caffeine, efedra or mau haung…all natural herbs….. Diane the original source of these products was a chiropractor in Chandler who is very hard to reach. I was wondering where you life, I am in Tempe but do not mind driving as bit to get products.
Does any of these products contain caffeine or any other stimulants? Keep in mind that natural ingredients can also be stimulants. Caffeine is naturally a part of coffee. I agree, the chocolate shake made me wired! Not the acceralor, not the cleanse. I believe it is the caffeine in the cocoa. Next order will be vanilla. Good luck in your weight loss journey — if I can be of any help just let me know.
I just started today, this is my first day with the shakes, I will be doing the cleanse on Wed. I feel fine, hope I can make it to the end, need to get 30 lbs off. Steve, It is now the end of February — I wanted to know how how you have progressed over the last month. Did you stick to it? How much weight did you lose?
What are your updated thoughts on Isagenix? My hubby and i started on friday a 30 day cleanse. He was at kg down to I am healthier, have great energy, more lean muscle and my immune system is strong. How long were you on it? I just started 6 days ago and I do feel better then ever and just want to know what others are doing that makes the most of the 60 days I have bought of it!
Do I have Heidi Flagg? What products are you using with isaganix? I am using the product too. Just wanting to utilize more fully. I started the day program recently and would love to hook up with someone that I can share my journey with. If you are interested, let me know. I also started on March 9 and I will be 55 next week. I am contemplating just sticking with the program minus the cleansing stuff. Both the liquid and the powder made me sick! I love the shakes! I have lost 10 lbs and do feel better overall.
I am a nurse and am really skeptical about the whole cleansing thing. What would you do? Maybe try eating a IsaSnack before you take your accelerator on your next cleanse day. But as Always make sure you talk with your cleanse coach that signed you up. You wrote this in July How did it go? Did you stick with it? Did you keep the weight off? I am staunch skeptic on things that claim to be natural and come out of a bottle. My best friend signed my fiance and I up for a 30 day.
We know how to lose weight without these products, but I am doing it for a health challenge and see if it has results on my next blood test…i. Added bonus if we lose weight for our wedding in June.
Let me know how you go. My products should arrive today or so. Allergic reactions appear to happen. Yes the money back guarantee is only for the first 30 Days. Auto-ship is not necessary to get the 30 Day guarantee though you get the very best prices on auto ship! Isagenix is extremely good at honoring this policy. The shake mix is rather high carb and high in cellulose but better when mixed with their whey powder. In my opinion, any time you choose not to eat for a day or two you are going to lose weight, slow down your metabolism and most likely gain it back.
I will tell you that doing the cleanse as directed is key and eating organic balanced meal. The 9 day, 30 day and maintenance program make it easy. My whole family loves it and non of us have caught cold knock on wood..
I personally coach all that signs up with me. Just eating normal food. How often do you and your family get colds? Your losing weight because you are controling your calorie intake. You can do that with real food. You will actually find losing weight HARDER if your system is sluggish and inundated with the kinds of toxins that come from common additives and preservatives. When those are flushed from the system.
Kinda like flushing out an engine. I am sure it is. But you may find your efforts a little easier with a cleaner more effecient digestive system then not.
Surprise, surprise we all need to look better on the outside to be happy. I needed what it did on the inside. My energy, my recouperation time, my mood. All these are the best they could ever be. The whole world is fat!
I believe that cleansing is key. Nutrisystem is real food? The best way to lose weight is through sensibly reducing your calories, adding more fresh fruits and raw vegetables, and cutting out a lot of meat and dairy. The fastest way you can lose FAT, is 3 lbs a week. Try to keeping down….. Look at the studies. They are there and I have medical background.
This was recommended by my doctor. I have been exercising several days a week, watching my diet and still not losing. I really need to go to work. Tracy, isalean shake is all you need on shake day. Mixed with 8 oz of water and fruit. Isagenix is the only thing i have ever done that worked lbs total weight loss and kept it off for 2 years! Totaly changed my life!! I got extremely ill on this product…threw up and it took me a week to recover. My doctor says that a lot of these herbs are not good for people…obviously that was true for me.
As I was throwing up and in bad shape my Isagenix person was calling me on the phone and telling me to continue…she didnt care about my or my health just about making her commission. They want you to do 2 days of precleanse recommended.
I never did that I broke daow and ate dinner. It does make people nausous. You have the choice of drinking it straight then water. Thats what I do. It sounds like you jumped straight into the Cleanse, which is too abrupt a change for some people. You were in the middle of cleaning out your body! When you change the oil in your car, what comes out?
Exact same thing happened to me. This happens to me everytime and I know the reason. I was just full of junk! You were most likely allergic to one of the ingredients in the product, since there are a lot of them. That is not uncommon. Isagenix should not do that to you at all. You are just unfortunately possibly allergic to one of the ingredients.
And if she set you up with a membership she was truly looking out for you. Sounds like she was just trying to be your cheerleader and that she wanted you to be successful with your cleanse. Sounds like the isagenix associate was being a great cheerleader and trying to help you through cleanse symptoms.
I myselfcoached someone who became sick after two precleanse days and two liquid cleanse days. She asked if she could take something for her symptoms and I told her to go ahead. By this point we knew she was sick because she was on shake days food and still having symptoms.
I told her if she had to take anything for her symptoms to go ahead but if she still felt bad when the last 2 days came up not to do them.
It just seems like we live in a paranoid world where everyone thinks someone is out to get them. I signed her up as an associate, for her benefit, so she could save money. If you are an isagenix rep you know the commission is sooo much less than it would be to sell it retail.
Myself and my friend tried Isagenix myself for a month and my friend for a week we both became uncharacteristically aggressive and are wondering what is in this product to cause such a mood altering reaction?
I am on the 8th day of my 9 day cleanse, and I can promise you I feel amazing! So I thought my body would go into schock without them, but I have never felt better. The inches are coming off everywhere, and even though I know I may not be able to maintain the weight loss, just feeling better and getting all the toxins out is worth the price for the cleanse.
Hi, please refer to the Isagenix official website to reach their supportive customer service for details on product usage. On the shake mix? I like the vanilla you can do more things with it. It is a nutritional program that helps to clean your body from toxins. I know people that have had diabetes and now they are healed. I have had eczema for 10 years and now my skin looks great.
In 14 days I lost 12 pounds of fat and i feel super. You control diabetes thru diet and excerise. Type II diabetes response differently than Type I.
I think this needs clarified. Many people have been cured of all kinds of chronic diseases from diets consisting of whole plant based foods. There practice is geared to treat symptoms, not cure diseases. If they cured disease then they would be out of business. I agree you cannot cure diabetes.
MOst of what you lost in the first week was water. Not to discourage, but you will be discouraged later in the program. Hard work always pay better dividends then quick soultions. I have been using Isagenix for 2 years with the 30 day diet. It does not cure, or treat any disease. People feel relief, and if your replacing junk food with a nutritious program you will feel better but not cured. This is not water weight as one reader said. If that is the case I was carrying 60 lbs of water.
Price is an issue? Funny how it is not an issue when you go to an expensive restaurant. Your health is worth something. Isagenix has helped people lose up to lbs. I am 83 years old and have been drinking a shake once a day and the cleanse at night. I find this a very satisfying and beneficial product. I dont need to lose weight. I do drink alcohol on weekends. Just want to detoxify and be more healthy, dont really want to lose weight.
Anyone else took isagenix for those reasons only? Hi Allison…has anyone respond to your question? Cleansing if an excellent idea for optimal health…not just for weight-loss! Excellent and nutritious way to do so to match your healthy lifestyle! Hi Ellen — You definitely need to talk with your doctor before trying Nutrisystem or any weight loss plan with your health issues, but they do offer a plan for people with diabetes. I would recommend checking out their site to learn more about the different plans they offer.
They also offer snacks and shakes as options over the course of the day, so that helps with the extra cravings too. Hope that helps, and best of luck with your weight loss journey! Someone in my Myspace group shared this website with us so I came to give it a look. Exceptional blog and brilliant design and style.
Thanks for the kind words and for visiting the site — let me know your Twitter handle so I can return the favor! Those first 2 weeks i dropped 13 lbs, but that third week i lost maybe 1 lb.
I was only eating the provided meals the first two weeks usually around only calories per day obviously that was unhealthy, so i added in a few snacks to put me right around calories per day. But unfortunately that has resulted in minimal weight loss. Did you have plateaus like this?
And how did you over come these stalls? I did just purchase an elliptical and also a stationary bike, but only on day 2 with those. Your review was wonderful and very well written, so thank you! Hi Julie- Thank you so much for sharing your story, and way to go for making it through your first month! I think the calorie restriction is the hardest part about Nutrisystem, and why now I typically only do the diet for a month or two and then really focus on just eating right and getting enough exercise after that.
For me, the approach after Nutrisystem has been intermittent fasting IF. That said, I have had a lot of success with it, and find that I can maintain a healthy weight for long stretches of time when using it. I started with the turbo charge and continued now for almost 3 weeks. I have only lost 3 lbs. When I emailed a counselor they said that was normal and I was doing well. Big hope very disappointed. In any case, hope the rest of your month goes well, and best of luck moving forward.
I just started Nutrisystem. I always lost weight on the low carb diet when I was younger. But the fat intake was not good. Just to avoid all the carbs… Did you or anyone else have a issue with how many carbs are in each meal? Is this ok lol… Please someone assure me all the carbs are ok! Thanks for visting, and best of luck with your first month!
Thanks for the excellent review and videos. Excited to see what kind of progress I can make. Hi Krystal — thanks for visiting the site, and taking the time to read my review and watch the videos. Always happy to hear that it helped! Thanks for the great info and for sharing your story! Thanks for the kind words, June! Congrats on taking the first step and best of luck with Nutrisystem — hope it goes well! I mastered more new things on this fat reduction issue.
An enormous reduction in junk food, sugary foods, fried foods, sugary foods, beef, and white flour products may perhaps be necessary. Holding wastes unwanted organisms, and wastes may prevent ambitions for fat-loss.
While specific drugs for the short term solve the situation, the unpleasant side effects are certainly not worth it, plus they never present more than a short-term solution. Many thanks sharing your thinking on this weblog. Thanks for the input Saul. Have you ever considered creating an ebook or guest authoring about Nutrisystem on other sites? I know my readers would appreciate your work.
If you are even remotely interested, feel free to send me an email. Hi Lance — I actually do have an eBook in the works, so stay tuned for that! I just wanted to say that this post is awesome, well written and lots of useful Nutrisystem info.
Looking forward to my first shipment. Hi Corburt — Thanks for the kind words, and best of luck with your first month — hope it goes well! I just wanted to offer you a huge thumbs up for the great information you have right here on this post. I will be returning to your site for more soon! This blog looks exactly like my old one! Great choice of colors! Really inspired by your story — thanks for sharing! I am planning to start Nutrisystem after the New Year.
Hi Erin — Thanks so much for the positive feedback. The first time I ever used Nutrisytem, which was many years ago at this point, I think I was one it for 4 months.
I had a lot more weight to lose then; now when I sign up, I usually use it for a month, maybe two at the most. To lock in the auto delivery deal, you have to commit to two months, so if you hit your weight loss goals after month 1, I recommend switching your order to just the Turbo Shakes — that will ensure you lock in the most savings, and also helps to keep you on track once you start transitioning off the program.
As I have said before, you have to be committed to the program to get results, but as long as you follow their plan you will lose weight! Anyways, best of luck and please let us know how it goes: Thanks for sharing your story. Drinking over ounces and eating tons of leafy greens.
I did NS about 4 years ago lost almost This past July was told my chloerstral and blood pressure was too high for 28 year old. So black Friday I ordered when prices decreased.
Hi Amanda — Thanks for visiting and reading my story. Hope it goes as well this time around. Thanks for sharing your superb review. You have a lot of good info here. I am looking for a diet to try just after the new year, and this might be the one. Either way, appreciate all of the details you shared. Thanks, just what I was looking for. I have about 20 pounds to lose — is this doable in a month or two? Hi Sam — Thanks for the positive feedback. Losing 20 pounds is definitely doable with Nutrisystem, but I would budget at least two months.
I signed up for Nutrisystem this week, and I am really hoping that I have the same results. I think my first shipment should arrive just before Christmas, so think I will get started right after the holiday. Thanks so much for the review — definitely gives me hope! Hi Kris — congrats on signing up — while results will vary for everyone, I truly believe that you will lose a lot of weight if you follow the program — so stick with it, and let us know how it goes.
They try to rip you off when quit their auto delivery program. Very very unpleasant people to deal with. They shipped me stuff 3 days after I had already cancelled and had a confirmation number stating I cancelled. They refused to turn the shipment around or to take it back and are trying to create some kind of lie that I created a 2nd account in November and they only cancelled one account. The only thing I did in November was update my credit card expiration date which I regret.
If I guaranteed no more shipments are coming to my name or my address that should be the end of the story, not with them! I am fighting them through my credit card company but please be aware of whatever traps they have in store for any of you. Hi Troy — Sorry to hear that that was your experience. It was actually a customer service rep who told me I could switch from the meal delivery to just the Turbo Shakes after my first month on the program to lock in the auto-delivery savings without having to commit to another month of food.
In any case, I hope you are able to get things resolved! I started the program today, January 1st. My resolution is to feel better about myself, but do it in a healthy way that had structure.
How much and when I should be eating vegetables, and ideas on what to eat if you have to attend a social function or business based meeting that involves food. Thanks for posting a well written, and information overview of this program.
I have three questions and maybe one is a question for a NS counselor… 1. Or can tomatoes, cukes, etc. Also, plain or with some sort of dressing? How many turbo shakes can you have per week… and when can they be consumed? Thanks in advance …. Hi Tami — Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment!
I always add extra veggies to my greens and have found the only thing you really need to watch out for is the salad dressing. But for me, cucumbers, tomatoes, etc. I usually have my TurboShake midday — around 2: That said, I would definitely suggest using the Nutrisystem counseling service for full clarification, though — especially for questions 2 and 3.
Best of luck if you decide to try the full program! I wanted to say that this article is nicely written and included almost all the vital info I needed. Thanks for the review.
I second your recommendation for Nutrisystem. Their service helped me significantly a few years ago. Hoping for the same results! Hi Maria — thanks for commenting! Hope it goes well again if you decide to give it another try. Have you found that Nutrisystem is a good way for keeping the weight off over the long term? How long do you really have to be on Nutrisystem before you starting seeing results?
Just finished month 1 and lost about 9 pounds! This post could not be written any better! Reading this post reminds me of my good old room mate!
He was always trying new weight loss products. I will forward this page to him. Fairly certain he will have a good read. Thank you for sharing!
I just read this well written post. I have a handicapped daughter who has gained so much weight. We have tried everything with very little success. After taking to her doctors we decided to give NS a try.
She started the program on February 16, She is loving the food and the program. She has already dropped three pounds. Her beginning weight was So she has a long way to go. But the support and your post will definitely help her obtain her goals for healthier lifestyle. We will keep you informed on her progress. Thank you so much. Hi Shirley — What an inspirational story — really hoping she has success! Thanks for keeping us posted, and wishing your daughter all the best.
I suppose its ok to use some of your ideas!! I have been on Nutrisystem for about 5 weeks now. I lost 15 pounds the first month and have been following it to a T. The food tastes fine and it is very easy to just grab something pop it in the microwave if necessary and go. I have been using My Fitness Pal to track my food and am eating about calories a day.
The first week was really tough and I had a hard time, but I stuck to it. Now I m satisfied and use to it. Planning on finishing up the second month and then on the 3rd month working in more home cooked meals and tracking to stay at the same calorie level. Then will switch over to the auto ship of Turbo shakes for my 4th month. I have about 40 pounds to lose and feel like I am making some good headway with the Nutrisystem plan.
Good job on the review, very well written. Wow, nice job Carolyn! Thanks for sharing your story, and best of luck with the rest of your diet. I was very happy to find this website. Just wanted to thank for your time for this wonderful read, and inspirational review!! Hi Kelly — sorry to hear that! Have you tried connecting with the Nutrisystem counseling service? We had to take Nutrisystem program for 8 weeks because we got it at a discount thru our insurance company. My goal was to loose 30 lbs.
At the end of the 8 weeks I had lost only 3 lbs. We did not care for the cardboard like food and did not get anywhere close to our goals. This program obviously works for lots of folks, but not for us. We did go to the Naturally Slim program and in 8 weeks I lost Naturally Slim is based on not what you eat but when and how you eat and you eat your own real food and got real results.
We will stay with our new habits learned with Naturally Slim and will not have any good words from our Nutrisystem experience. Hi John — thanks for sharing your experience.
Thanks so much for sharing your story. It was encouraging and helpful. I am only on my second day of Lean 13 and after comparing the Turbo Shakes with the protein powder I was using before, I noticed that mine was lower in calories, fat, sugar, and carbs and higher in protein by quite a lot. Thanks again for your review! Hi Peggy — I think you should be fine using your own protein shake.
Just to be safe you may want to talk to a Nutrisystem counselor, and they can let you know for sure. The biggest issue would probably be the calorie count of your shake vs. Best of luck with your two weeks. I made some raspberry coffee and chilled it. Thought that might be a nice tip for someone else.
Just finished day 1 of the Turbo Takeoff… I was down 2 lbs this morning!!! Yay… only 58 more lbs to go!!!
